Ten friends who've known each other since elementary school needed a place to reconnect, and this cabin delivered in every way. The well-appointed kitchen made cooking together a highlight of the trip, and the living spaces were warm and generous enough for all of us to actually enjoy being together under one roof. We were able to watch presentations, play charades, and enjoy the town. Great location.

The house is a great for a group going to ski at Butternut. Town is very close and the house is very comfortable. Finding the house is a bit challenging and there is a steep hill you will need to drive up to get there so make sure your car can handle it.

My family and I had a great stay at the property! The beds were incredibly comfy (all memory foam), the appliances all worked great, the location was perfect, the check in and check out processes were smooth, and it was so nice to be able to walk to town. The property photos are accurate, and the road up to the property wasn't an issue (at least in summer). It's just a short walk to Lake Mansfield, too, which was really nice. They were also great about us bringing pets. Would definitely rent again!

We were a group of six, but it would also be great for a larger family — there are plenty of beds, a comfortable couch, and the mattresses were great.

Short get away
The property is gorgeous although finding it can be a bit challenging. Once you realize the driving along the railroad tracks means exactly that, you see the house and know it’s worth it. Walking to town is easy and the property is well appointed and very comfortable.

We were close enough to town to enjoy the amenities and also a short trip to butternut, where we had a great day of skiing with a group of mixed skiing experience. The house was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the views from the big front windows.

The house was great! It is set back and high up, so that it overlooks the beautiful and quaint shops and restaurants of Great Barrington. The house has giant windows, high ceilings, a gas fireplace, and comfortable beds! It was a perfect place to relax, read, unwind and spend time together! You can walk down the hill/driveway and you are right in the heart of downtown which is lovely! Beautiful shops and fantastic coffee shops/restaurants. I am thankful that the weather was unseasonably warm because I would not have wanted to navigate the hilly driveway in winter weather. The road up to the house wasn’t great (dirt road and a few “holes”) but once up the hill, it was totally worth it!!

House was very beautiful and clean. Plenty of room for a large family . Quiet and private street although its right next to train tracks honestly only heard the train once . We love this house. We’ve had several stays over the years, and it never disappoints. The rooms are open and spacious while warm and cozy at the same time. The house is perched on a hill overlooking town against a backdrop of spectacular mountain views and fall foliage. There’s a gorgeous lake (and community) with hiking trails behind the house. It is truly breathtaking and we are so grateful to Luca for letting us use the house again this year.

We had an awesome time in Great Barrington! The home was really nice, updated, and clean. And was relatively private considering how close to town it was. Location was great. Only downside was the gravel road was extremely steep, make sure you have an AWD car! We had a stroller for the kids and went up and down the road many times, but was definitely a bit treacherous.

Perfect place to meet up with family coming from Albany Boston and New York. Spacious area and immaculately kept. Great layout to spend time and short walk to town. Big plus farmer’s market was open. Travel up the road alongside the tracks was precarious but manageable. Would love to come back.agaiin.

We frequently walked to town often for coffee, restaurants, shopping, and GB's Saturday morning farmer's market. Great Barrington is a great home base to explore the area, and an easy drive to all the major cultural destinations in the area. Thanks Lucas!

We really enjoyed our stay. The pros are you can easily walk to the great downtown. It’s a big hill but a very close walk. And you can walk to the lake which is great for kids.
The property was very clean and works well if you need 3 bedrooms. It’s not a huge lawn but big enough for kids to play.
Only cons are the kitchen equipment is hit or miss and the grill is not in amazing shape, which makes cooking a little tricky.

The house and property were beautiful. Our group consisting of 3 couples were very comfortable. The location to town and Lake Mansfield was excellent. We enjoyed a day of exploring the shops and restaurants in town and walking our dogs to the lake. One suggestion would be to either relocate the refrigerator or replace with a French door refrigerator as the current door is somewhat blocked by the counter. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely rent again.

The house is beautiful and so close to town you can walk to stores and restaurants. Also close to ski mountains (Butternut and Catamount). The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and had everything one would need. We spent Christmas there as we have family in the area. It’s not the easiest place to find in the dark the first time. The only comment is it would be nice to have televisions in the bedrooms.

The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to town and a beautiful lake. Very close to all the shops, restaurants and cafes. We loved that it was pet friendly since we always travel with our dog. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this place.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the incredible location, the cleanliness, and the well-appointed kitchen that made my stay truly exceptional. It's a great location in Great Barrington, which allowed me to explore all the local attractions and surrounding towns with incredible ease. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, making my check-in and check-out process a breeze. The overall ambiance of the Airbnb was inviting and cozy (especially with the fireplace). I can't wait to return for another visit! I would recommend arriving at the house before dark as I imagine it could be a bit tricky to find at night. The hosts provided great directions so just be sure to follow those - we had no issues ourselves.

Lovely place. Perfect for 3 couples each having their own room. Very, very clean and comfortable in all refrains! Pictures tell some of the story, visiting the rest. A perfect story.
We got bumped 24 hours before leaving for the Berkshires and started a panic search for properties that would fit our small groups needs in a 911 fashion. This property looked perfect and the property owner was excellent to communicate with and to allow us to get settled into a reservation for same allowing us to save our trip. The property owner communicated with me throughout our visit answering all questions I had and allowing my group to maximize the enjoyment of our stay! I can't say enough great things about the property, the location, the surrounding area, the weather, and most importantly the host! Excellent comes close.

Room fotos were true to life and we were extremely happy how centrally located this house is!! It is on small hill , which is important to know for older folks.. We enjoyed all the little touches that made us feel welcome at Lucas’s place! We loved being able to walk to town, and what a cute town it is!!! Lucas was highly responsive & great to work with! We will be back!!
Home base for Miraval spa day trips
This house was the perfect home base for a girls getaway to the Miraval Spa. Five of us slept very comfortably in the house, with space for more if you have larger groups. The Miraval Spa was 20-25 minutes away and the house was a great, more economical alternative to staying overnight at the spa, given the size of our group. The house manager was very communicative and checked in several times during our stay. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The house was also a short walk right to the heart of Main Street in Great Barrington. Great experience and would be very happy to rent again.

We stayed in this VRBO on a recent trip to visit family. The house and property are very well maintained with just a couple of easy tweaks. Dish Towels! LOL! The view is beautiful. And walking distance to town and our favorite restaurant, Praiprie Whale! We will visit again. Thanks Lucas!

I do recommend an SUV a few of our friends with lower cars had a bit of a difficult time going up the hill. The space was clean and exactly as pictured. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and serve for a large crowd as well as the bathroom with toiletries and plenty of TP.
Cons: The contract they have you sign ahead of time, felt unnecessary and a bit overboard. You have zero control over the temperature of the house, have to message them to change it. Extra blankets for the pull out couch/trundle bed were missing from the closets. Although very responsive, when asked if we could have early check-in they wanted to charge us over $300.

We spent 3 nights with old friends to ski, eat and catch up early March. We had a great time. The location is ideal, the home is beautiful and the weather cooperated. Highly recommend this property.

The location is unbelievable— all the restaurants are less than a 5 minute walk down the hill and yet the house feels perfectly secluded. It was a bit tricky to find but Lucas provided great instructions. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It was clean, as pictured, fully equipped and very comfortable for our 8 guests. You can walk to Main Street in minutes and Butternut Mountain is a 5 minute ride away. It is really well-located. If I were to say one small downside, it would be the awkward road and driveway up to the house. It is a bit confusing at first and if it is snowing, you would definitely need a 4 W drive car (which is stated in the reservation). Other than that, it was really great!

Thankfully there was no snow on the ground for our February trip. The hill is smallish, but steep and I'd be worried if it had been icy.

Great Stay
The location of this house is perfect. It’s tucked in on a small hill above the town of GB and because of this it feels very secluded and “in the country” despite it being a 5 minute walk to downtown. The pictures of the view and the house are accurate. The interior is very clean and hospitable. Lots of kitchen supplies and a great living room with huge TV. Beds are very comfortable.

Just a fabulous place in a quite amazing location. This house feels like it's in the countryside but it is a two minute walk into the center of Great Barrington. It is light and airy and has a wonderful deck that looks out at the green hills of the Berkshires (we were there in August -- it'd be even more spectacular in the fall). The kitchen was well stocked, the owners were great to work with, and we loved our whole time there. Highly recommended.

We had a family trip to celebrate my dad's 80th. Everyone loved the house. Super clean and very well-stocked. I loved that you could walk into town so quickly. The downtown area of Great Barrington is adorable - cute shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the host was very responsive when we reached out during our stay. I would definitely stay in this home again and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in staying in Great Barrington!

Great Cabin on the Hill!
This is a VERY clean and well-stocked home up on the hill overlooking downtown Great Barrington. You can easily walk from the house to all of the restaurants and shops in town, yet the way the house is situated on the hill makes it feel like you are nicely secluded. The beds are extremely comfortable foam mattresses made up with clean and soft linens. It was the perfect spot for four friends to escape for a weekend!

We had a great stay at this beautiful house. We came to ski at Butternut for the weekend and it was a great spot to be close to the mountain (5 min away) and walkable to town. The house was very clean and comfortable, and well stocked with towels, toilet paper and toiletries. Check in was very easy, with a code for the door. I would expect the road and driveway for the house to be a bit treacherous if there was a snowstorm, so if visiting in winter, keep that in mind if you don’t have snow tires or an appropriate vehicle. There’s a small dirt road along the train tracks and then it’s a very steep road to the house. We would recommend this house and would book again if we get the opportunity!

Lucas and Drew’s place exceeded our expectations and lived up to the beauty of the pictures. The house is just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in downtown GB. Highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill even in dry conditions. The owners communicated well with me during the entire process and provided us with everything we needed during out stay. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future!

We had a wonderful experience in this lovely retreat home. Our two families with 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs had a great time. The large couch was able to accommodate us all around the fireplace. We played competitive boards games at the long table and cooked up several delicious meals. Everyone said their bed was comfy. It's also a short 3-4 min walk into town where there are fun shops and restaurants. It was a very memorable thanksgiving weekend getaway!

Our stay was one of the highlights of this year. The six of us-- my husband and me, my parents, and my sister's family (toddler included)--had an amazing stay. Everything was sparkling clean, bedding was comfortable, bathroom was well-kept and clean, and the kitchen well-stocked with all types of utensils and cookware/basic cooking items. The outside deck was a plus. The master bedroom with bathroom is on the first floor so it was great for my elderly parents. The house is a 5 min walk from the downtown area. Communication from the hosts was clear. Area is close to many highlights of the area. Highly recommend!

Great location! You can walk right down the main street to enjoy the shops and eateries and it’s a short drive to Stockbridge and Lenox. The house was very clean and had all the amenities one needs. Do note that it is up a gravel drive and steep, not well paved hill.

We had a wonderful time. The home was shiny and spotless, totally cozy, with a lovely view and every convenience you could imagine in every room. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the sounds, sights and smells throughout the day. The beds were super comfy. The location could not be beat -- 2 minutes from town with all the convenience and just enough privacy. We will definitely be returning!

Cute log cabin super convenient to downtown GB! Great as a base to explore GB and all that the Berkshires has to offer. We loved being able to walk into town for ice-cream and coffee (there are at least 4 cafes in town, all are excellent). The kids loved seeing the train pass by periodically. House was very clean and well-stocked. The house does get a lot of sun so a tip is to keep the curtains drawn during the morning.
The Only Choice for Great Barrington
We were very impressed with this house and we were a party of 12 and the house is the perfect size for entertaining and the kitchen is state of the art. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and had to use the fireplace to get warm at night. The town is a lot of fun and the location was perfect for accessing the Appalachian Trail, where we did 79 miles from CT into MASS. The Housatonic river runs along part of the trail and it is stunning.

We took long walks along Lake Mansfield, which is less than a half-mile from the house, and enjoyed going into town for coffee and takeout. The balcony/deck and fireplace were great touches as well. Lucas’s place was absolutely perfect for our family. We wanted a getaway that looked nothing like our home, which lets all face it, we’ve all been inside of for way too long these days. The “log cabin” as our boys came to call this heaven, was perfect for our week of much needed family time. Super sparkly clean upon arriving, so easy to access, everything you need is included - just pack your clothes. I definitely overpacked! It’s winter, and with the snow our boys were able to sled in the backyard, we walked to town for even ice cream on a 30 degree day it’s so close, skied at Butternut which is only a 5 min drive done the road, and walked to the pond on our last day. It’s a perfect location, and Lucas was a fab host that is super responsive. We’ll be staying again and also checking out his other properties!

Lucas's place was a perfect place for our family of four- and our pooch- for a 6 day winter trip. Lucas was a great host; he stayed in close touch with us and got back to us quickly with answers to our questions. The house is warm and cozy and we spent lots of time hanging out by the fire place. In one direction, the house is a quick walk into town, and in the other direction, beautiful homes and walking trails in the woods. The house was very clean, easy to check in to, and we appreciated that it was stocked with towels, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. We highly recommend Lucas's place if you are wanting to be near town when you come to Great Barrington!

The house was beautiful, had everything we needed and was very clean. However, the location was not at all what we wanted. It was very close to town, at the most a 4 minute walk down the driveway/road and across the RR tracts and you are downtown. At night we could hear music and people coming and going from a parking lot. The house was extremely close to an active train track, one train during the day, one in the middle of the night. We were looking for seclusion and this wa not the owners fault but that of Vrbo not disclosing this information prior to booking. My interaction with Lucas at booking was great. The day we were to arrive I had to send a message that we were on our way to receive the info on the house. While we were there I sent him a message as we are having an issue with the TV and never received a response. For us, we wanted quiet and unfortunately it was not.
A wonderful Holiday respite
We loved this home. We'd originally planned to stay here with extended family, but thanks to COVID-19, it was just three of us--my wife, our toddler, and myself. It would have been large enough for all of us, but was also intimate-feeling enough that we enjoyed it as a threesome. Our host was a great communicator and very helpful. We particularly loved that we could walk down to get coffee in town very easily. We'd definitely book this home again!

First and foremost, Lucas IS a super host. Down to every detail and no question was too trite. The house was immaculate, clean, and cozy. The beds were unusually comfortable which is so rare in rentals; the wifi was incredibly fast which was important as we were working as well; fully stocked kitchen and high quality amenities; spacious, well laid out with a comfy living room. And I don’t think many appreciate from the description how close it is to Main Street to grab your coffee or takeout yet quiet for a peaceful getaway. We hope to return soon!

The large windows overlooking nature was such a wonderful backdrop and view to wake up to in the morning. I went away for a long weekend with my sisters, daughter, and dog and we could not have chosen a better house to stay in! The house itself was gorgeous. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space but it also had a homey feel to it. It was incredibly clean and had everything we needed....even extra toiletries! The location was perfect. When you are at the house, the scenery is all beautiful yards, trees, and mountains. If you walk about two minutes down the hill you are in the middle of the shops, restaurants, etc. Lucas also checked in with me during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint is that the weekend went by too quickly! I absolutely plan on booking this house again and am so happy we had the opportunity to stay there. We had just as much fun at the house as we did exploring! It was also a short drive to do sight seeing (we checked out a local lake that had a hiking trail and hiked Monument Mountain).

Close to everything in town, a small lake just a mile away, and short drive to other attractions in the area like hiking, recreation areas, breweries, etc. Lucas is responsive and thoughtful.

Overall our experience was fantastic. This is a beautiful home with a large outdoor space and proximity to local hiking as well as the downtown area. The house was extremely clean, the outside was well-maintained, and there are some nice views. The owners were very responsive. We happened to visit during a heat wave and the owners helped us ensure the house would be cool enough for our young son to sleep. We go to Great Barrington every year and would highly recommend this property.

Who knew such an amazing place existed! Where to start...
The house - words cannot describe what a wonderful and unique place this home really is. The log cabin style house is definitely beautiful, but what is even more fabulous is the inside! The house has been decorated very nicely and the house really feels like a true home away from home. There is plenty of space for a medium to large group to fit comfortably and plenty of space both inside and outside to relax, unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
The town - great barrington is a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family. If you don't want to leave the house you definitely don't have to. I was really happy that we made time to visit and enjoy the cute town that is only a 2-3 minute walk from the house. There are great food options for any time of day, along with fun bars and stores to visit! I would highly recommend the wonderful sandwich and coffee places that we made sure to visit multiple times during our stay!
The host - Lucas was very easy to get in touch with throughout our stay and made the check-in and out process very smooth and easy!
All in all I couldn't have asked for a better experience and trip to the Berkshires!! We will definitely be back!!

If I could give this place more stars, I would! The home is so spacious and airy and gets amazing light all day long. The decor is stylish and modern with extremely comfortable memory foam mattress and a large leather couch that fit our entire group as did the dining table. The best part is feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere when at the house but being able to walk two minutes into town to get amazing sandwiches and coffee as well as dinner and drinks. They recommended Fuel for coffee, Rubi’s for sandwiches, and Moon Cloud for drinks! All were incredible. We walked to the lake up the hill and did a nice hike nearby. The town is so quaint with so much to do. I can’t wait to go back! The group and dogs loved the home. Lucas thought of everything and was a very gracious host with a beautiful home!
